You’re not just getting digital files. You’re getting photos that end up on your walls, in your marketing materials, on your website—images you’re proud to show.
Most people hire a photographer and then never do anything with the images except post them once on social media. That’s a waste. When you work with a professional photographer who understands lighting, composition, and how to make you comfortable, you get results worth printing, framing, and using for years.
I’ve been shooting since 1974. I learned my craft in the pre-digital era when you had to get it right before pressing the shutter. That discipline carries through today, even with modern technology. You get fewer throwaway shots and more keepers—images that actually matter to you.
I established my photography business in Seabrook in 1984, but I’ve been behind the camera since 1974. I’m a Brooks Institute graduate who taught photography and Photoshop at Houston-area colleges for 21 years.
I’ve photographed everything from children’s portraits at Texas Children’s Hospital to commercial work for corporate clients across the Houston metro. That range matters because it means I adapt to what you need—not the other way around. Seabrook families and Houston-area businesses have trusted me for decades because I show up on time, listen to what you want, and deliver exactly what I promised.
First, we talk. I take time to understand what you’re trying to accomplish before the shoot even happens. If it’s a family portrait, I ask about your kids’ schedules and temperaments. If it’s commercial work, I review your shot list and brand guidelines.
Then comes the session itself. I provide direction—where to stand, how to angle your body, where to look. But it’s not rigid. I adjust in real time based on what’s working and what isn’t. You’re not left guessing whether you look okay.
After the shoot, you get your images delivered on schedule. No chasing. No excuses. And if you’re not sure what to do with them next—printing, framing, layout—I walk you through that too. Most clients don’t realize how important that final step is until they’re staring at a folder of files with no plan.

I handle commercial photography for businesses that need product shots, architectural images, or advertising content. I also do corporate headshots for professionals who need updated LinkedIn photos or team pages. And for families in Seabrook and the Clear Lake area, I offer portrait photography—both studio and on-location.
Seabrook’s proximity to Houston means you’re getting access to a photographer who’s worked with major corporate clients but still serves local families. The Houston metro added over 57,000 jobs last year, and many of those professionals need headshots. Families here have a median household income over $109,000—they’re investing in quality photography, not just snapping phone pics.
I don’t pigeonhole myself into one niche. I shoot interiors one day and food in the studio the next. That versatility means I bring fresh perspective to every project instead of repeating the same setups over and over.
It depends on what you need. Corporate headshots run differently than a full-day commercial shoot or a family portrait session.
Most photographers in the Houston area charge between $94 and $262 per hour, with day rates ranging from $300 to $3,000 depending on the scope. My pricing reflects my 50 years of experience and the fact that you’re getting images you’ll actually use—not just a hard drive full of mediocre shots.
When you reach out, be clear about what you’re trying to accomplish. That helps me give you an accurate quote and ensures there are no surprises later.
Wear something that fits well and feels like you. Avoid busy patterns or logos unless they’re intentional for branding purposes.
For corporate headshots, stick with solid colors and professional attire—what you’d wear to an important meeting. For family portraits, coordinate colors without being too matchy. I’ll give you specific guidance once I know the setting and purpose of the shoot.
The goal is to look like yourself on your best day, not like you’re wearing a costume. If you’re unsure, ask. I’ve been doing this long enough to steer you in the right direction before the session starts.
Turnaround depends on the project size, but I communicate a clear timeline upfront and stick to it.
For most sessions, expect your edited images within one to two weeks. Rush jobs can be accommodated if you need something faster—just mention that when you book. I don’t make you chase me down or wonder when your images are coming.
You’ll receive high-resolution digital files, and I can also guide you on printing options if you want physical copies. Most clients don’t realize that 90% of people who only get digital files never do anything with them beyond social media. I help you avoid that.
Both. I have a studio setup for controlled lighting and product work, but I also shoot on location across Seabrook, Clear Lake, and the greater Houston area.
On-location shoots work well for architectural photography, outdoor family portraits, or corporate environments where you want images in your actual office or facility. Studio work is better for headshots, product photography, or anything requiring precise lighting control.
During your initial conversation, I’ll recommend the best setting based on what you’re trying to accomplish. I’ve shot along the Clear Lake channel where Kemah and Seabrook meet, inside Texas Children’s Hospital, and everywhere in between.
I’ve been doing this since 1974. I learned photography before digital cameras existed—back when you had to get the shot right in-camera because there was no “fix it in post.”
I’ve taught photography and Photoshop at the college level for over two decades, which means I understand both the technical side and how to explain things clearly. And I don’t specialize in just one type of photography. I shoot commercial work one day and family portraits the next, which keeps my approach fresh.
Clients stick with me for years—sometimes decades—because I show up on time, communicate clearly, and deliver what I promised. No flakiness. No surprises.
Schedule around naps and mealtimes. Seriously. A hungry or tired toddler will derail even the best photographer’s efforts.
Bring snacks, a favorite toy, or whatever helps keep them calm. I’m patient and know how to work with kids who don’t want to sit still, but you’ll get better results if they’re in a good mood to start with.
Don’t force smiles or bribe them into cooperation right before the session—that usually backfires. Let me handle the direction. I’ve been photographing children for decades, including sensitive work with young cancer patients at Texas Children’s Hospital. I know how to make kids feel comfortable and capture genuine expressions, not forced grins.
