I’m a Brooks Institute graduate, former photography instructor at HCC and the Art Institute, and a member of ASMP since 1979. I bring professional lighting and equipment regardless of where we shoot. The session itself is straightforward—I direct you through poses that actually work for your body type and the photo’s purpose, and we move efficiently through the shot list.
After the session, you get a private online gallery within a week. You review the edited images, select what you want, and I deliver high-resolution digital files you can use however you need. No upselling. No pressure to buy prints you don’t want. You get what you paid for, and you own the rights to use your images.

For families with young children, shorter is often better. We work quickly while kids are still cooperative, and I’m experienced enough to capture good expressions even when attention spans are fading. For professional headshots, efficiency matters even more—most of my corporate clients need great results without blocking out their entire afternoon.
For professional headshots: solid colors work better than busy patterns, and you want something that reflects how you actually dress for work. If you never wear a suit to the office, don’t wear one for your headshot—it’ll look like you’re pretending to be someone you’re not.
For family portraits: coordinate without matching exactly. You want a cohesive look, not everyone in identical outfits. Avoid clothing with large logos or text. Stick to colors that work well together and flatter your skin tones. If you’re unsure, I can give you specific guidance once I know where we’re shooting and what the final use will be.
The real answer is this: wear something you feel confident in. If you’re uncomfortable or self-conscious about your outfit, that shows in your expression. I’d rather you feel good in what you’re wearing than follow some rigid style rule that makes you miserable during the session.
Both. I have access to studio space in Houston, but I also shoot on location regularly—at your office, your home, outdoor locations, or wherever makes sense for what you need.
For corporate headshots, coming to your office is often the most efficient option, especially if you need photos of multiple team members. For family portraits, some people prefer the controlled environment of a studio, while others want natural outdoor settings or the comfort of their own home.
I bring professional lighting equipment regardless of location. That’s important because it means I’m not dependent on perfect natural light or ideal weather conditions. I can create consistent, professional results whether we’re shooting in a conference room with fluorescent lighting or outside on a cloudy Houston afternoon.
You’ll get access to your online gallery within one week of your session. That gallery includes fully edited, professionally retouched images ready for you to download and use.
I don’t make you wait a month to see your photos. I also don’t hand you hundreds of unedited images and expect you to sort through them yourself. You get a curated selection of the best shots from your session, already edited to professional standards.
